What I don’t like about the chair– I wish the seat cushion had more padding. It is not too hard or uncomfortable, but extra cushioning would make the seat feel more comfortable for long hours of sitting.

What stands out-Herman Miller Aeron Size A is the best choice for short person weight under 150 Pounds and height under 5’4”. because this chair has the seat height range of 14.75” to 19” from the floor, this range works well for shorter users who work from home sitting long hours at desk. What could be improved- The Herman Miller Aeron Chair – Size A does not have seat depth adjustment. The seat depth is fixed at 16 inches.

Seat– Seat is extremely comfortable to sit even for long hours. When I first sat in this chair my butt hurt, it wasn’t used to the firmer sit. But gradually over time it went away as my body adjusted and now it is extremely comfortable. The mesh seating relieves a lot of pressure from your tailbone.

Rocking- One thing I really love about the Aeron is how smooth the rocking feels. It doesn’t feel stiff or awkward at all—it just glides back really naturally. There’s enough resistance so you don’t feel like you’re falling backward, and it just feels super comfortable when you lean back and relax. It makes shifting positions during long work sessions a lot more enjoyable.

Conclusion– If you’re a petite person looking for a premium ergonomic office chair, the Herman Miller Aeron in size A is an awesome choice. It’s designed with smaller frames in mind, so everything feels more balanced and supportive rather than oversized or awkward.

3 EMIAH Ergonomic Office Chair-Best budget office chair

What stands out-The value for the price is outstanding, At 5’2″, I struggle to find the right chair for short person, as most office chairs seem to be designed for “big and tall” users rather than petite individuals like me. This size of this ergonomic chair is perfect for short person. The Emiah chair is soft and comfortable with a seat depth of 17.3 inches which works for the thigh length of a short person. This is the office chair that sits low enough for my feet to sit flat on the floor relieving my hip and lower back pain.
What could be improved– One thing which I don’t like is that the lever to recline is in a bad position, you have to lean over quite a bit in order to lift it up or push it down. The armrests are not adjustable so it won’t allow me to get closer to my desk but not a dealbreaker for me.

Lumbar support- The lumbar support isn’t very impressive. The cushion that comes with the chair is acceptable, but I find myself needing something firmer for better comfort. I do wish the lumbar support were stronger, though overall it’s still a good value for the price.

Footrest- The footrest works really well and adds noticeable comfort during long sitting sessions. It provides proper leg support and helps reduce pressure on my lower back and thighs.

Seat cushion– The cushioning is thick and supportive, so you don’t feel like you’re sitting on a hard surface after a few hours. It has just the right amount of softness without sinking too much. Overall, it makes long desk sessions way more comfortable and easier on your body.

Armrest- The armrests come with soft padding that adds a nice touch of comfort while you work. However, they don’t offer any adjustability, so you’re limited to a fixed position.

Faux Leather– The faux leather finish feels smooth and durable, and it’s easy to clean.

DUMOS Small Office Chair-Best affordable chair without arms

What stands out– This chair is one of the best affordable office chair under $50 for petite users. It gives you an adjustable height from 15.94” to 20.67” that works good for short people and the adjustments works perfectly. It has a seat depth of 16.34 inches which is typical for petite office chairs. This chairs has many beautiful colour options available.

What could be improved-This chair would not be a good option for everyday use in an office setting. It is not comfortable for long periods of time, but for a cheap alternative.

Mesh Back-The mesh back keeps you cool in hot summer days and is comfortable. The back is fixed and not adjustable. You cannot recline or tilt on this chair.

What stands out- At 5’2″, finding a chair that truly fits has always been a challenge for me—but this chair has been a game changer for short person. It hits the right spots, offering proper lower back and head support without feeling oversized. Even the seat depth of 15.7 inches feels just right, allowing my legs to bend naturally and stay comfortable throughout the day. Its adjustable seat height from 15.9″ to 19″ is perfect for petite users.

What could be improved- Armrests are 2D adjustable means you can adjust the height and width of the arms. I do think the armrests could use a bit more cushioning, especially since they’re something you naturally lean on throughout the day. Adding thicker, more supportive padding would make a noticeable difference and elevate the overall comfort of the chair.

Comfortable- The lumbar support is fixed, however the butterfly-shaped lumbar pillow, in particular, is a fantastic addition. It’s easy to reposition for just the right amount of support, or even remove if you prefer a different feel, which is perfect for adapting to how my back feels on any given day. Since using it, I’ve noticed a significant decrease in my hip, back, and neck pain.

Material and design- The breathable mesh is a real blessing, especially during warmer afternoons and The high-back design provides excellent support. The fabric was easy to clean even though it is mesh.
