The lumbar support on this chair allows you to adjust the height, so you can position it to match your lower back properly. However, there is no option to adjust the depth, which limits how much you can fine-tune the support. While the lumbar support isn’t exceptional or overly aggressive, it’s not uncomfortable either. It provides a decent level of lower-back support that works well for everyday use and long sitting sessions, especially if you prefer a more subtle, less intrusive feel.

It has a synchro tilt mechanism that gives you a smooth recline motion that feels well balanced. You can also lock the chair when reclining which is great if you want to take short breaks between your work.

The armrests are 3D adjustable, allowing you to change their height, width, and depth to better suit your sitting position. This flexibility helps in finding a generally comfortable arm placement for different desk setups. However, there is no pivot or swivel adjustment, which slightly limits fine-tuning for angled arm support.

Additionally, the forward and backward adjustment does not have a locking mechanism, so the armrests can sometimes shift when you change your sitting position. While this isn’t a major problem, it can be mildly distracting during daily use.

It is comfortable, nice quality and will  improve your comfort when you recline on the chair it is also easy to attach. The headrest makes the chair much more ergonomic and not for much more in cost.

Where The Branch Ergonomic Falls Short.

One thing I really don’t like about this chair is the placement of the tilt tension knob. It’s a small dial that’s recessed into the mechanism under the seat, which makes it quite difficult to reach and adjust while you’re sitting. This becomes especially frustrating because tilt tension is something I personally like to tweak often—sometimes 3–4 times a day depending on my posture or task.

With this chair, I have to get up, bend down to adjust the knob, and then sit back down to check if it feels right. If it’s not perfect, I have to repeat the whole process again. This back-and-forth feels unnecessary and time-consuming, and over time it becomes quite annoying for a feature that should ideally be quick and easy to adjust.

Conclusion

Overall, I found this Branch ergonomic chair to be both stylish and comfortable, especially considering it falls under the budget office chair category. It adds a clean, modern, and professional look to my home office without feeling bulky or out of place. More importantly, it keeps my back comfortable throughout the day, even during long work sessions.

The chair offers multiple adjustment options, making it suitable for different body types, heights, and sitting preferences.
